How to operate the Murphy Bed

To Open: (1) Push the coffee table/ottoman to the dresser, and then pile the small sofa pillows on top. (2) Place the sofa back cushions aside temporarily and seat cushions on the floor in front of the sofa (they can be stored out of the way under the bed). (3) Grab the large handles on the bed panel and gently pull down to floor over the sofa frame. (4) As the bed is lowering, flip the support at the foot end under the bed and rest it on the floor. (5) That’s it! Bed is ready. Sofa back cushions can be used as a headboard once the bed is down. The bed pillows are in the upper cabinet next to the bed. The lights above the bed operate with the switch above the headboard. The lights are on a dimmer.    

To Close: (1) Fold sides of sheets and blankets toward middle of bed so no bedding hangs over sides or foot. (2) Remove bed pillows and return to cabinet. (3) Insure bedding is relatively smooth and on top of mattress. Please avoid tucking bedding into the hinge/spring area near the headboard. (4) Stand at foot of bed in the middle of the frame. Lift and guide bed gently upwards into frame, reversing the opening process
